PRESENTER B IOGRAPHI ES Matthew Cermak Commercial Account Manager Chicago Title Insurance Company, NCS Chicago Matt serves as Commercial Account Manager for the ChicagoTitle NCS team. He has spent the last six years creating and fostering relationships with clients in Chicago and across the country. His client base is a mix of developers, corporations, and law firms. Matt has also been consistently active over the course of his career in the commercial real estate industry and Chicago community. He is currently serving on several executive boards in Chicago, including Urban Land Institute of Chicago, Chicago Area Public Affairs Group, Chicago Central Area Committee, University Club of Chicago, Saint Patrick High School, and City Club of Chicago. Matt was born and raised on the Northwest side of Chicago. He received his undergraduate degree from Missouri State University. He was also a member of the NCAA Division 1 Men’s Golf Team, where he was highly recruited as a scholarship athlete. Matt currently resides in the Lakeview East neighborhood and, yes, he is related to Mayor Anton Cermak. Dawn Godlewski VP, Senior Commercial Counsel Chicago Title Insurance Company, NCS Chicago Dawn is an industry veteran of Chicago Title’s Chicago National Commercial Services (NCS) operation having joined the Local Division in 2004. Dawn provides underwriting and drafting of title commitments, pro formas and title policies for multi-million dollar commercial transactions. She works closely with attorneys, lenders, and developers to ensure deals are executed efficiently and to the customer’s satisfaction. She works with buyers and sellers to provide creative solutions to complex title issues. Dawn’s legal career started with a top law firm and she now leads in-depth seminars and industry webinars for attorneys covering topics such as “Minutes of Foreclosure”, “Surviving a Commercial Real Estate Transaction” and construction escrow. Dawn has also been instrumental in developing new policies that ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Dawn received her BA from Loyola University in 1998, and Juris Doctor from DePaul College of Law in 2002. She enjoys public speaking and is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association.
