PRESENTER B IOGRAPHI ES Brienne Berscheid VP, Construction Escrow Manager Chicago Title Insurance Company, NCS Chicago Brienne Berscheid serves as Vice President and Construction Escrow Manager for Chicago Title’s Chicago National Commercial Services (NCS) operation. Brienne joined the company in 2013 as a claims counsel in the Omaha Claims Department. In her current role, she oversees the National Construction Disbursement Department to responsible for reviewing and administering construction escrow projects across the country. The National Construction Disbursing Department specializes in ground-up commercial developments, including stadiums, office towers, senior living facilities, and multi-family housing complexes. Brienne has a B.A. from the University of Minnesota and a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School. She is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, and Illinois State Bar Association. Brienne has lead presentations on national construction escrow agreements and mechanic’s lien underwriting for law firms and real estate development companies. Christopher S. Cattau AVP, Commercial Counsel Chicago Title Insurance Company, NCS Chicago Chris Cattau serves as Assistant Vice President, Commercial Counsel for Chicago Title’s National Commercial Services (NCS) operation located in Chicago, Illinois. He joined the Company in 2013 as Claims Counsel. In that role, Chris administered claims with the same professionalism and expediency he now devotes to underwriting. It was a seamless transition within the title arena from claims to underwriting, allowing him to immediately and eagerly begin underwriting both residential and commercial transactions. Chris collaborates daily with customers, attorneys, owners, lenders, developers, and others to ensure the title-related portion of the transaction reaches an efficient conclusion. Chris has a B.S. from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and earned a J.D. from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. In his spare time he enjoys running, playing softball and beach volleyball, and traveling back to the family farm in Nebraska.
