PRESENTER B IOGRAPHI ES Lucas Kmiec VP, National Commercial Counsel Chicago Title Insurance Company, NCS Chicago Lucas Kmiec serves as VP, National Commercial Counsel for Chicago Title’s Chicago National Commercial Services (NCS) operation. Lucas joined the Company in 2010 as a commercial underwriter in the National Department. Since then, Lucas has been involved with both single site and multi-site transactions for some of our largest customers. Lucas holds a B.A. from University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana and a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law. Beata Lewis AVP, Escrow Officer Chicago Title Insurance Company, NCS Chicago Beata Lewis serves as Assistant Vice President and Escrow Officer for Chicago Title’s Chicago National Commercial Services (NCS) operation. Since joining the company in 2010, Beata has experienced closing a variety of commercial transactions spanning from single site transactions to REIT mergers, financing and acquisition of multi-state portfolio of office, retail, and multi-family properties. One such transaction resulted in one of the largest 1031 exchanges in the US history. Beata works with a wide range of customers, including domestic and foreign real estate investors, REITs, and pension funds. Beata received a Master’s Degree in English Literature from Loyola University Chicago in 2009, a Master of Letters Degree in Renaissance Studies from University of Strathclyde Glasgow, Scotland in 2003, and a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from Pedagogical University Krakow, Poland in 2002. While she was born and raised in Poland, Beata now considers Chicago her home.
